Abstract

This research seeks to reveal Islamic guidance regarding the concept of leadership in the management of an organization so that it can create leadership that is professional and based on Islamic moral values in carrying out its duties.

The research problems in this paper are: 1) What is the meaning of khilafah and khalifah 2). What are the principles of management in Islam 3). What are the principles of leadership in Islam? The research aims to determine the meaning of khilafah, and caliphate, the principles of leadership/caliphate in Islam and the principles of leadership/caliphate in Islam.

The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative according to Sukmadinata (2011, p. 72).

Khilafah is a comprehensive leadership related to religious affairs and world affairs. Caliphate means a representative or substitute who holds human authority as God's representative on earth. The principles of Islamic management include: deliberation, humanist communication, responsibility, performance based on aqidah and makruf. nahyi munkar, leaders must act to care about the weak. The principles of leadership/caliphate in Islam include: leaders must be Muslim, collective choice, expert, acceptable), prioritize public interests, not authoritarian, able to build relationships, sensitive to the environment, role models and role models for all person.
